Common Questions
Can I put household cleaners and paint in my skip bin?
Unfortunately, we can’t accept liquid chemicals, paints, or household cleaners in skip bins due to safety regulations. However, we can guide you to appropriate disposal methods for these items, and our team often knows local workshops that can use leftover paint.
What happens if my skip bin gets too heavy during my cleanout?
We charge $20 including GST per 100kgs over the weight limit. To avoid this, we recommend spreading heavy materials like concrete or soil across the bin bottom rather than loading them all in one corner. Our team can advise you on weight management when booking.
Do you collect skip bins on weekends from Mairangi Bay?
We deliver and collect Monday to Saturday, but not on Sundays. This actually works well for most households as it gives you the weekend to fill your bin knowing we’ll collect first thing Monday morning.
Can I move the skip bin around my property once it’s delivered?
Our skip bins are too heavy to move safely once delivered, so it’s important to choose the right location initially. We recommend placing them as close as possible to your work area while maintaining truck access for collection. Our experienced drivers can usually suggest the optimal spot.
